Line Monitor Profile Picture

I'm an engineering student and robotics researcher at Duke University.

I am a Senior, and throughout my time at Duke, I have had the chance to explore my academic interests and other passions. I've been fascinated by robotics and artificial intelligence since middle school, where I founded my own Vex competition team and developed NLP chatbots using open-source tools.

Now at Duke, I am heavily involved in research as a Pratt Research Fellow in the General Robotics Lab under Dr. Boyuan Chen. My work focuses on using AI advancements, particularly generative models, to inform automated design of robots. In my recent paper, Text2Robot, I introduced a novel pipeline to generate functional, manufacturable walking robots from text prompts, considering user preferences for performance, terrain, and aesthetics.

In the future, I aim to leverage emerging AI technologies to make robots more useful in everyday life and lower the barrier to innovation through automated design techniques.

Outside of academics, I am the President of the Duke Pitchforks, Duke’s premier a cappella group. I enjoy singing and arranging music. I’m also involved in Duke Basketball as a "Line Monitor," helping manage student ticketing and the famous tenting process.
